do NOT trust your eyesight to unproven herbal remedies or nutritional supplements. If you have OAG, stay with only prescription medications from your ophthalmologist. Sorry that’s not my specialty so I do not know if some new medication is being approved.
I know there are many eye drops that will lower your intraocular pressure - and this is proven to reduce visual loss. There are some oral medications as well. STick with what is FDA-approved. Avoid fads and unproven remedies.
There is a single trial that suggested Ginko might help. (ref) but you should not rely on this until other studies either confirm or refute it’s validity. In medicine we often have an initial small trial that may suggest benefit, then with larger trials we may find out the drug actually does HARM.
Best to stay with proven drugs that have been in use for decades. A good rule is ” a new drug is a dangerous drug”. Let someone else be the guinea pig before you.
