I don’t mean to push my personal views on you but studies show that marijuana is a very good reducer of intraocular pressure, and is used as a treatment for glaucoma. If you already smoke or are open-minded about the idea of it, try it. Not just because it’s fun, but because it could help ensure that you too don’t fall victim to glaucoma.
I am going through the same thing right now. One of my eyes has a pressure of 27 and the other is 28. I did the field test today and it was fine. My Optic Nerve is fine as well. My eye doctor told me to come back in 6 months to have it checked again, he did not give me any medication at this point. He also said that just because you have high pressure in your eyes does not mean you have Glaucoma it means you are a higher risk for it. He also said that some people that have normal pressure have Glaucoma so high pressure doesn’t always mean something bad.
As far as stress causing your pressure to be high, it can. If the puff of air test makes you nervous it can cause the pressure to be high. Alcohol has no effect on eye pressure. Do you mean wearing contact lenses? If so that has no effect on pressure either. I can still wear contacts even with high pressure.
It’s also questionable if Marijuana helps with Glaucoma there is no real proof that it helps any more than the eye drops.
